About Me
First and foremost, I am a passionate follower of Jesus.
Coming from a dysfunctional family background, I encountered the Lord at 22—and my life has never been the same. It’s been a journey of healing, forgiveness, and transformation. I know firsthand the power of God to change a life and rewrite a legacy.
For over 30 years, God has led me on an incredible journey. I spent more than two decades as a high school counselor, walking alongside students—many of them at-risk or living with trauma—offering support, advocacy, and hope. I hold an MS in Counseling and have been trained in biblical counseling, mental health and life coaching, inner healing, freedom prayer, and spiritual direction under leaders in these fields.
In every season, ministry has remained at the heart of my calling—whether through the local church, para-church organizations, or one-on-one discipleship. Today, I’m focused on mentoring, coaching, and creating spaces where others can encounter Jesus and grow in their identity, freedom, and purpose. I write devotionals, children’s stories, and spiritual resources—some published, many simply offered as gifts of encouragement—and I lead retreats designed to be safe spaces for soul care, where women meet Jesus in life-changing ways.
Married for 30 years and mom to three adult children, I’ve lived through the beauty and messiness of real life. I understand the power of presence, authenticity, and grace. Most days, you’ll find me with a latte in hand, speaking life over someone God has placed in my path—cheering them on to see themselves through His eyes and live with Kingdom purpose.
I’d love for you to join me on that journey.
Silk City Coffee
Silk City Coffee is a beautiful collaboration that began during my years as a guidance counselor at a local school. Two of my student leaders, Rob and Sarah, stood out for their character, drive, and kindness. They eventually became my first “double-alumni” wedding! Years after they had graduated, gotten married, and moved away, I was inspired to open a coffee shop in the heart of our town—a space where people could connect deeply, share stories, and be moved to serve one another through what would become our Community Needs Board.
When I shared the idea with my husband, he loved it but wisely pointed out that neither of us had the experience or capacity to run a coffee shop ourselves. He encouraged me to pray for the right people to come alongside us—and that’s when everything clicked. Over coffee one day, Sarah shared that she and Rob had just bought a house in Manchester. While packing, they had found their old student leadership journals from high school. To their surprise, both had written the same answer to a question I had once asked them: What do you see in your future? At just 15 years old, they had each written that they wanted to marry each other and open a coffee shop in Manchester!
And so, the journey began.
Rob and Sarah headed to Portland, Oregon to train, and when they returned, we started the search for the perfect space. Before long, Glenn and I had secured a location right on Main Street, and Silk City Coffee began to take shape—with LOVE COFFEE, LOVE PEOPLE as our guiding motto.
Over eight years later, we’ve added a roastery, an e-commerce site, and even children’s books I’ve written inspired by the shop. Silk City Coffee remains one of the greatest joys of my life—a place of warmth, connection, and purpose in the heart of our community.
