During a recent trip to Israel with the Proverbs 31 Ministry team, we learned that in the English version of Proverbs 31:10, the translated word “rubies” should actually read as “pearls.” Unlike rubies, pearls take time and hardship to be developed, thereby changing the concept of that scripture in some important and life-giving ways.
