As we begin our time together I want to encourage you in this:
There are things happening in your life right now that you cannot see.
Not because they are not real.
But because they are happening beneath the surface.
Roots are forming.
Truth is taking hold.
Patterns are slowly shifting.
Your heart is being shaped in quiet, unseen ways.
And yet, from where you stand, it can still feel like nothing is changing.
You are showing up.
You are staying.
You are trying to remain connected to Jesus.
But the evidence you are looking for does not always appear right away.
We tend to measure growth by what is visible.
What feels different.
What looks improved.
What seems resolved.
But God often does His deepest work where we cannot see it.

Beneath the surface.
In the hidden places.
In the slow, steady forming of something new.
A seed does not break through the ground the moment it is planted.
It takes time.
It grows downward before it grows upward.
It strengthens before it becomes visible.
And the same is true in us.
The work God is doing in your life right now may not yet be visible, but it is not absent.
He is present.
He is working.
He is forming something that will, in time, become evident.
Scripture Reading
Let these words settle into your heart slowly.
Mark 4:26-29 NLT
Pause and Reflect
Take a few moments to sit with what you noticed from Scripture. You may want to journal or reflect quietly.
You might consider:
Where in my life does it feel like nothing is happening right now?
What have I been tempted to measure as “not working”?
What might God be doing beneath the surface that I cannot yet see?
What would it look like to trust His work, even without visible evidence?
Soul Care Practice – Trusting the Unseen Work
This week, we practice trusting what we cannot see.
Begin by becoming still. Take a slow breath and quiet your heart before God.
Bring to mind an area of your life where growth feels slow or unclear.
Name it honestly before Him.
You might pray:
“Jesus, I don’t see what You are doing here.”
Pause and let that be true.
Then gently open your heart to possibility:
“Help me trust that You are working, even when I cannot see it.”
Sit with Him for a few moments.
Not trying to figure it out.
Not searching for immediate answers.
Just remaining.
If a simple next step comes to mind, hold it gently.
If not, allow that to be okay.
Trust is not always built on what we see.
Sometimes it is formed in choosing to stay.
Carry It With You
As you move through your week, you may notice moments where things feel unchanged.
Moments where you question whether anything is happening at all.
When that comes, pause.
Take a slow breath and remind your heart:
“God IS working beneath the surface.”
You might pray:
“Jesus, help me trust what I cannot yet see.”
Then continue.
Stay.
Remain.
Keep walking with Him.
Growth is happening.
Even here.
Even now.
And in time, what has been forming in the hidden places will begin to show.
Keep walking forward with Jesus and see you next week.
