Mindful Mondays: Time With Jesus Rooted and Radiant – Week Twenty-One Becoming: Offering Your Everyday Life

Before we begin, take a breath with me.

Not a deep, intentional one.
Just the kind you already have.

Right here.
Right now.

Because what we’re about to talk about isn’t something far off or hard to reach.

It’s already in your hands…
Your everyday life.

The ordinary moments you move through without thinking twice.
The routines.
The responsibilities.
The conversations.
The thoughts you carry as you go from one thing to the next.

It can be easy to feel like transformation happens somewhere else.

In the quiet time.
In the breakthrough moment.
In the space where everything feels clear and meaningful.

But what if it’s happening here?

In the middle of what feels ordinary.

Not separate from your life
but right in it.

Because becoming is not about stepping out of your life to meet with God.

It’s about bringing your life to Him
AS YOU LIVE IT.

The way you respond.
The way you think.
The way you move through your day.

All of it.

Not cleaned up.
Not perfected.

Just offered.

And that can feel simple…
but also unfamiliar.

We’re used to trying to change ourselves first.
To fix what feels off.
To get things right before we bring them to Him.

But this invitation is different.

It’s not “get it together and then come.”
It’s “bring it as it is.”

Your real life.
Your real thoughts.
Your real responses.

And as you do, something begins to shift.

Not because you forced it
but because you placed it before Him.

And He begins to shape it
from within.

This is becoming.

Not striving to become something new
but offering what already is
and inviting Him to transform it.

Scripture Reading

Let these words settle into your heart slowly.

Romans 12:1–2 MSG

Pause and Reflect

Take a few moments to sit with what you noticed from Scripture. You may want to journal or reflect quietly. You might consider:

What does my “everyday, ordinary life” look like right now?
Are there areas of my life I tend to keep separate from God?
What would it look like to offer my day to Him as it actually is?
Where might I be trying to change before I come, instead of bringing it to Him first?

Soul Care Practice – Abide and Receive

This week, we practice slowing down and receiving.

Return to the Scripture from this week.

Read it slowly. Then read it again.

As you do, notice what word or phrase stands out to you.

Don’t rush past it.
Stay there.
Let it settle…

You might read it a third time, holding that word or phrase gently in your mind.

Then simply sit with Jesus.

No need to analyze.
No need to figure anything out.

Just receive.

If you’d like, you can respond quietly:
“Jesus, what do You want me to see here?”
“Jesus, help me receive this.”

Let this be a space where you are not striving to understand
but allowing truth to meet you.

Even a few minutes like this is enough.

Carry It With You

As you move through your week, return to the word or phrase that stayed with you.

Let it come back to you in ordinary moments.

You don’t have to force it.

Just notice when it rises
and let it steady you.

You might simply pray:
“Jesus, help me receive what You are showing me.”

And then continue on in your day.

I’d love to hear about what stood out to you this week. You can share in the comments or join us in the Mindful Mondays Facebook Group as we walk this out together.

Keep walking forward with Jesus this week and I’ll meet you back here next Monday!
