If we were sitting together right now, I think I’d ask you a simple question.
Not about what you’re working on
or what you’re trying to change
but this:
What feels different lately?
Not dramatic.
Not perfect.
Just… different.
Because sometimes growth doesn’t announce itself.
It shows up quietly.
In the way you respond.
In how quickly you return.
In what no longer pulls you as far as it once did
and you might not even think to name it.
You might assume it doesn’t count yet.
That it’s too small.
That you’re not far enough along.
But this is often how it begins to show.
Not all at once
but in glimpses.
A softer response.
A steadier thought.
A moment of pause where there once wasn’t one.
And if you’re not paying attention,
you can miss it.
Because it doesn’t feel like arrival.
It feels like becoming.

Something that has been forming beneath the surface
beginning to make its way into your everyday life.
Not because you’re forcing it
but because it’s growing.
And over time, what is rooted begins to be seen.
Not in perfection
but in fruit.
In the way you love.
In the way you remain.
In the way you respond differently than you once did.
This is what happens
when you stay with Jesus.
Scripture Reading
Let these words settle into your heart slowly.
Galatians 5:22–23 NLT/MSG
Pause and Reflect
Take a few moments to sit with what you noticed from Scripture. You may want to journal or reflect quietly. You might consider:
Where have I begun to notice small signs of change in my everyday life?
What responses or reactions feel different than they used to?
Where might fruit be beginning to show, even in quiet ways?
Am I overlooking growth because it doesn’t feel complete yet?
Soul Care Practice – Notice the Fruit Around You
This week, we gently shift outward.
Not to perform
not to measure
but simply to notice.
As you move through your days, pay attention to moments where something different shows up.
A response that feels more patient
A thought that returns to truth more quickly
A moment of kindness that comes more naturally
When you notice it, pause.
Not to evaluate
but to acknowledge.
You might quietly say:
“Jesus, thank You for growing this in me.”
If it feels helpful, write a few of these moments down in your journal throughout the week.
Not as a checklist
but as a way of seeing what is already taking shape.
This is not about producing fruit.
It is about recognizing what is already beginning to grow.
Carry It With You
As you move through your week, stay aware of what feels even slightly different.
You don’t need to hold onto it tightly
or try to make it happen again.
Just notice.
Let it remind you
that something is growing.
And when you don’t see it, that’s okay too.
Roots are still forming
even when fruit isn’t visible yet.
If something stands out to you this week, I’d love to hear what you’re noticing. You can share in the comments or join the conversation in the Mindful Mondays Facebook Group.
Keep walking this out with Jesus in your everyday life. I’ll meet you back here next Monday.
