If we were sitting together, I think I might notice something before I even asked a question.
Not something loud.
Not something obvious.
Just… a softness.
A steadiness that wasn’t there before.
The way you respond.
The way you hold space.
The way you don’t rush past things as quickly as you once did.
And maybe you wouldn’t even think to name it.
Because it doesn’t feel like you’re doing anything differently on purpose.
But something has changed.
And this is where it begins to move outward.
Not in a way that asks more of you
not in a way that adds pressure
but in a way that flows.

Because when something has taken root within you
it doesn’t stay contained.
It begins to show up in how you move toward others.
Not perfectly.
Not consistently every time.
But naturally.
You notice someone instead of passing by.
You pause instead of rushing through.
You respond with care where you once might have reacted.
Not because you’re trying to be different
but because love is beginning to lead.
This is reflecting.
Not producing love
but expressing what you have been receiving.
Scripture Reading
Let these words settle into your heart slowly.
1 John 4:19 NIV
Colossians 3:12 MSG
Pause and Reflect
Take a few moments to sit with what you noticed from Scripture. You may want to journal or reflect quietly. You might consider:
Where have I begun to notice a greater awareness of others around me?
What feels different in the way I respond to people lately?
Where might love already be moving through me in quiet ways?
Is there anywhere I feel resistance to moving toward someone right now?
Soul Care Practice – One Intentional Act of Kindness
This week, we take one small step outward.
Not to prove anything
not to become something
but to simply respond
to what Jesus is already doing within.
Ask gently:
“Jesus, who are You inviting me to notice this week?”
Let someone come to mind.
Then take one simple step.
A message.
A kind word.
A small act of care.
A moment of presence.
It doesn’t need to be big.
In fact, it’s better if it’s simple.
Let it come from a place of overflow, not effort.
And as you do, stay aware of what’s happening within you.
Not evaluating
not measuring
just noticing.
This is not about doing more.
It’s about allowing what God is growing in you
to begin to move through you.
Carry It With You
As you move through your week, stay open.
Love often shows up in small invitations.
A nudge to pause.
A thought to reach out.
A moment to respond differently.
You don’t have to act on everything.
Just begin to notice.
And when you do step toward someone, let it be simple.
Let it be real.
Let it be enough.
If something from this week stays with you, I’d love to hear about it. You can share in the comments or join us in the Mindful Mondays Facebook Group.
Keep walking closely with Jesus as His love begins to move through you. I’ll meet you back here next Monday!
